How acting driver charges are structured
Charges for an acting driver or call driver are time-based, not distance-based. A taxi meter charges by the kilometre because the vehicle belongs to the operator. Here you travel in your own car, so what you engage is the driver's time: an hourly block, a full day, or a set of days for an intercity trip.
Three engagement shapes cover almost every request:
- Hourly. Local errands, shopping, functions, hospital visits. Four-hour minimum.
- Full day. A day of meetings, a wedding, a long local schedule.
- Outstation. Intercity trips priced per day, typically a 12-hour day, one-way or round-trip.

Acting driver charges per day
A full-day engagement is the most common way people compare driver charges. On the platform a day for intercity trips is typically a 12-hour engagement; local full-day requests follow the schedule you describe when you submit. The indicative day rate you see depends on your locality and the trip you describe, so two cities rarely show the same number.
What the day rate covers is the driver's time and driving. Fuel stays yours because the car is yours. Tolls and parking are paid at actuals during the trip. On multi-day trips, the driver's food and any overnight lodging are settled directly between you and the driver as part of the agreement.
Call driver charges per hour
Hourly bookings carry a four-hour minimum. Below four hours the travel time to reach you makes the engagement impractical for the driver, so shorter errands are still billed as the four-hour block. Extending during the trip is one conversation: you and the driver align on the extra hours and any adjustment.

Driver charges for outstation trips
Outstation engagements show an indicative day rate, and round-trips show the total for the typical number of days a similar trip takes. Not part of the indicative number: fuel, tolls, parking, and the driver's food and lodging on multi-day trips, all settled directly between you and the driver. There is no surge and no toll markup from the platform.

Cancellation charges
Cancellation through the platform is free up to 10 minutes before the agreed pickup time. Inside that window a small fee applies as a courtesy to the driver who is already on the way. There are no hidden charges beyond what you see at submission and what you agree with the driver.
Why charges differ by city
Indicative rates vary by locality. A request in Chennai or Coimbatore reflects different driver availability and travel patterns than one in Madurai, Tiruchirappalli or Thanjavur, so the platform prices by where you are rather than one flat number for the whole state.
